Second, structure: each body paragraph usually needs a claim, evidence and analysis that links them to the thesis. The AI can suggest orderings, such as strongest point last, chronological or problem-solution, and point out gaps. Third, counterarguments: asking for the best opposing case helps you address it honestly instead of arguing against a weak version. Common misconceptions: an AI outline is not research. Any facts, dates or quotations it suggests must come from, and be checked against, real sources you cite. Another is that AI detectors can prove misuse. They are unreliable; OpenAI withdrew its own AI-text classifier in 2023, citing its low accuracy. A third is that a tidy outline makes a good essay. The thinking in the analysis sections is what earns marks, and that part has to be yours.
