The Bletchley Park AI Safety Summit took place in the United Kingdom on 1–2 November 2023. Countries attending agreed the Bletchley Declaration, which described both AI’s opportunities and risks and called for international cooperation to understand and address risks from frontier AI capabilities. A signatory list or endorsement count describes participation but does not establish that every participant has enacted the text domestically. To understand practical effect, look for national legislation, regulator guidance, funding programs or implementation steps that follow. Summit communiqués shape discussion and cooperation, but their legal status differs from binding treaties and statutes.
