Oversikt

Brisk Teaching describes connected browser and web experiences, but specific features, data practices and institutional terms should be checked before use. Teachers remain responsible for reviewing outputs, protecting student information and deciding whether a tool serves the lesson.

Dypdykk

A browser extension adds functions inside a browser and may interact with pages, documents or selected content. In education, an extension can reduce the effort of moving material between apps, but that convenience makes permissions and data handling important. A tool may remain inactive until invoked, yet educators and administrators should understand its access rules before installation or student use. Brisk Teaching currently describes connected experiences that include its browser extension, Brisk Boost for student-facing activities and Brisk Next for planning and instruction. Its help materials describe workflows such as generating activities from resources and customizing grade level, standards, objectives or scaffolding. Features evolve; help pages and marketing descriptions do not guarantee availability for every user or school. An educator may use an extension to draft a quiz, adapt reading material, create feedback or turn a resource into an activity. Each output should be checked against the lesson goal and source. A reading adaptation can omit nuance; feedback can be inaccurate or generic; a quiz may have an ambiguous answer. Browser context can also create accidental disclosure risk if a teacher activates a tool while viewing identifiable student work or confidential records. Use approved accounts and approved content. Before adoption, examine permissions, identity and access controls, data retention, model-provider relationships, subprocessors, deletion and incident procedures, and the governing data-processing agreement. Brisk’s September 2026 terms state that educational use may involve student data and refer to a Student Data Privacy Addendum when the institution has not entered a separate data-processing agreement. Read the applicable terms and consult district approval rather than relying only on product claims. Begin with teacher-created test content, document the intended use and require human review before sharing generated material with students.

Strategisk innvirkning

Byggevalg

The Future of Brisk Teaching and AI Browser Extensions

Browser assistants are expanding from single-purpose extensions into connected planning and student activity platforms. They may link to more AI services, making data flow and account boundaries harder to see. Features and integrations change quickly, so educators should revisit official documentation and institutional contracts. Schools need clear guidance on permissions, student-facing use, attribution and human review. Convenience should be evaluated alongside instructional value, privacy and accessibility. This review should recur when the school renews or expands its use. Local access needs should be reassessed too.

Real-World Implementering

A teacher uses an extension to draft an exit ticket from a lesson page, then checks its questions against the learning objective.

A technology lead pilots an extension with teacher-created samples and reviews permissions and contracts before student use.

An educator reviews a reading-level adaptation to ensure key ideas and context remain intact.

A district examines the data addendum and approval status before allowing the extension to process student writing.

Veikart for implementering

  1. Kartlegg gjeldende arbeidsflyt og identifiser trinnet med høyeste friksjon.

  2. Definer menneskelige sjekkpunkter før full automatisering.

  3. Lær brukere på meldinger, eskaleringsveier og kvalitetsstandarder.

  4. Spor resultater på oppgavenivå for å bekrefte vedvarende verdi.
