CororLogic, a cardiovascular image artificial intelligence (AI) startup, announced that it has attracted seed investment from Kakao Ventures and Seoul National University Technology Holdings. The startup is developing an AI solution called 'Angio-FILM' that can reduce radiation exposure of patients and medical staff during coronary angiography. Angio-FILM utilizes AI-based video frame interpolation (VFI) technology to restore coronary angiography images taken at low frames like high-frame images in real time.
CororLogic is a medical AI company established in May by Professor Kang Si-hyuk's team at Bundang Seoul National University Hospital.
It is developing an AI solution called 'Angio-FILM' that can reduce radiation exposure of patients and medical staff during coronary angiography.
Angio-FILM utilizes AI-based video frame interpolation (VFI) technology to restore coronary angiography images taken at low frames like high-frame images in real time.
AI analyzes changes in the location and movement of blood vessels and medical devices by comparing the front and rear frames of continuous images, and estimates the mid-point image that will exist between the two frames to generate a new frame.
This supports medical staff to more continuously check blood vessel movements and procedures even if only a small number of X-ray images are taken.
為什麼這很重要
The development of Angio-FILM has the potential to reduce radiation exposure for patients and medical staff during cardiovascular procedures. This is a significant concern as patients and medical staff who repeatedly participate in the procedure can be exposed to radiation. Reducing the amount of imaging can reduce radiation exposure, but in this case, the number of frames and image quality of the image are deteriorated, making it difficult to sufficiently check the information necessary for diagnosis and procedure.

CororLogic's Angio-FILM can be used without replacing existing angiography equipment.
It can be installed additionally in the existing treatment environment to interlock with the hospital imaging system, and uses an edge method that processes images in real time within the hospital.

CororLogic plans to pursue multi-center clinical verification and secure the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) licensing and global quality certification (ISO 13485) in turn. Through this, the plan is to prove product reliability while laying the foundation for domestic and foreign medical institutions to apply or cooperate immediately in the field system.

CororLogic has already presented related research results and demonstrated the product at the 'EuroPCR 2026' of the global cardiovascular intervention conference in Paris, France, and participated in the International Hospital and Medical Industry Fair (KHF 2026) as a joint hall at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital in August.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety has also completed reporting medical devices.
CororLogic's CEO Hwang said, 'Cardiovascular intervention is an area that requires technical solutions to increase safety as not only patients but also medical staff are continuously exposed to radiation.'
