According to Indian Startup News, Flam raised $40 million in a Series B funding round led by QED Investors. The round included participation from Claypond Capital, RTP Global, Dovetail, and individual investors including actor Shah Rukh Khan.
The company stated that the new capital will be allocated to research and development for its AI models, expanding its product range, and growing enterprise sales internationally. Flam reported signing more than 100 enterprise customers over the past six quarters, naming Google as one of its clients.
Flam offers three main product formats: Flicks, which allows video elements to change during playback using compression technology; Airboards, which provides interactive 3D content via camera interfaces without requiring app installation; and Visual Agents, which are AI-generated characters capable of real-time conversation and action through video interfaces.
The startup has developed several proprietary AI models, including Fable for visual content generation, Fantom for identity-preserving video synthesis, Finesse for multilingual speech, Forge for video editing, and Falcon, a 26-billion- mixture-of-experts large language model. Flam also reported holding more than 15 patents.
