Dates are article publication dates (UTC), not closing dates. Amounts keep the currency stated in the headline.

Methodology & limits
Only articles in the Industry, Enterprise or Breaking categories. The title must contain a funding verb immediately followed by an optional qualifier and a currency amount (e.g. '$2B', '€300M', 'US$900m'). The company is the capitalised phrase immediately before the verb after any 'Outlet reports' attribution prefix is removed. Rows without a confidently parsed company and amount are dropped, never guessed.
One canonical published article whose title states that a named company raised, secured, closed, landed, nabbed or bagged a parsable monetary amount. Not one unique round: follow-up coverage of the same round appears as separate rows.
Amounts are normalised to a number in the stated currency (billion = 1e9, million = 1e6, thousand = 1e3). No currency conversion is performed; totals are reported per currency. 'about', 'more than' and similar qualifiers are recorded in the amountText but do not change the numeric value.
Investors are a best-effort extraction of capitalised names after 'led by', 'from', 'backed by' or 'with participation from' in the article text. The list may be incomplete or include misparsed phrases; verify against the source before citing.
Only articles returned by getAllNewsArticles, including its publication, suppression and media filters. This is not a census of AI funding; the archive covers what the newsroom published.

- Regexes on headlines miss rounds described with other wording ('reaches $X in total funding', 'valued at') and can include debt, funds raised by investment firms, IPO proceeds and grants.
- Valuations are deliberately not treated as amounts raised. A headline naming only a valuation yields no row.
- Company names are taken from headline capitalisation; abbreviations, unusual casing and non-Latin names may be truncated or dropped.
The JSON contains the verb, amount and round patterns, per-row parse evidence, monthly totals per currency and the source link recorded on each article. Report a misparsed row.
