AIを活用した公認会計士試験勉強
Using AI to study for the CPA exam means treating a chatbot, or the AI features in a review course, as a tutor.

概要
It can explain concepts, write practice questions and quiz you on weak areas across AUD, FAR, REG and your chosen discipline section. It can make study time more active and personal, but it also makes confident mistakes on technical rules, so check every explanation against your review materials and the authoritative standards.
ディープダイブ
Since January 2024 the CPA exam has used a core-plus-discipline model. Every candidate takes three Core sections: Auditing and Attestation (AUD), Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) and Taxation and Regulation (REG). They also take one Discipline section: Business Analysis and Reporting (BAR), Information Systems and Controls (ISC) or Tax Compliance and Planning (TCP). Each section lasts four hours, mixes multiple-choice questions with task-based simulations, and needs a score of 75 to pass. The AICPA publishes a blueprint for each section that lists the tasks tested and the skill level expected, from remembering and understanding up to analysis and evaluation. AI is most useful where study is usually passive. It can explain a topic in different words, ask you Socratic follow-up questions, turn notes into flashcards, make a new version of a question you missed, or build a schedule. Explaining your reasoning to an AI and having it challenged is a form of active recall, which tends to stick better than rereading. The main risk is that general-purpose models learned from a mix of material and do not always know which framework or which year you need. Common errors include: mixing US GAAP with IFRS. For example, describing the IFRS 16 single lessee model when ASC 842 keeps separate operating and finance leases; citing inflation-adjusted tax amounts from a prior year; and blending AICPA auditing standards for nonissuers with PCAOB standards for public companies. Arithmetic in multi-step problems can also go wrong while the explanation still sounds right. A common misconception is that AI-generated questions match the real exam. Real questions are written to the blueprints and pretested before they count. AI questions are not calibrated this way, so they are practice material, not a measure of readiness. Also, candidates agree not to disclose exam content, so typing remembered live exam questions into a chatbot breaks that agreement.

The Future of Using AI to Study for the CPA Exam
Review course providers are adding AI tutors, explanation features and adaptive question selection to their platforms, and candidates can expect more of these features. The exam itself is taken in a controlled testing environment, so AI helps with preparation, not with sitting the exam. The ISC section already tests technology and controls, and exam content will probably keep changing as the profession adopts new tools. How changes are announced is predictable: the AICPA updates its blueprints and publishes notices ahead of time. The durable skill for candidates is using AI as a sparring partner while treating the blueprints, standards and review materials as the final word.
現実世界の実装
A FAR candidate who missed a bond question asks the AI to rebuild the effective interest amortization table one period at a time, then compares each row with the review course's answer to find where their own method went wrong.
A REG candidate asks for ten multiple-choice questions on the basis of property received as a gift. They check each answer key against their textbook and throw out any question that depends on a dollar threshold they cannot confirm for the current exam year.
An AUD candidate has the AI describe short audit scenarios, such as a going-concern doubt or a scope limitation. The candidate names the report modification that applies and explains why, and the AI then critiques the reasoning.
A candidate choosing among BAR, ISC and TCP pastes in the AICPA blueprint content areas for each section. They ask the AI to compare the areas against their job experience and draft a week-by-week study calendar ending on their exam date.

What is Using AI to Study for the CPA Exam?
Using AI to study for the CPA exam means treating a chatbot, or the AI features in a review course, as a tutor. It can explain concepts, write practice questions and quiz you on weak areas across AUD, FAR, REG and your chosen discipline section. It can make study time more active and personal, but it also makes confident mistakes on technical rules, so check every explanation against your review materials and the authoritative standards.
Under the CPA exam structure in place since January 2024, which three sections are the Core sections every candidate takes?
The Core sections are AUD, FAR and REG. Each candidate then chooses one Discipline section: BAR, ISC or TCP. BEC was retired when the new model started.
An AI tutor tells a FAR candidate that a lessee accounts for all leases under one model, with no operating-versus-finance classification. What mix-up does this most likely reflect?
IFRS 16 uses a single lessee model. ASC 842 keeps separate operating and finance leases for lessees. Mixing up frameworks is a common AI error.
Why should a REG candidate double-check dollar thresholds and limits that an AI gives them?
Many tax figures change from year to year. A model may give a figure that was correct in some year but not the year your exam tests.
Which use of AI would break a candidate's exam obligations, not just risk inaccuracy?
Candidates agree not to disclose exam content. Sharing remembered live questions breaks that agreement no matter how the AI answers.
According to the guide, what is the most reliable way to catch an AI error in a multi-step calculation such as a bond amortization table?
A model can describe the method correctly and still slip on arithmetic. Redoing the steps independently shows exactly where the numbers differ.
