HƯỚNG DẪN ứng dụng
AI tools can support literature discussion, grammar practice, feedback, and writing workshops, but students’ own reading, analysis, and voice should remain central to graded work.
Because the writing process is often the learning objective, teachers need clear rules for when AI may help and how students should explain their contributions.
English language arts develops reading comprehension, interpretation, writing, grammar, and communication. AI can create alternative examples, ask follow-up questions, or flag possible sentence issues. It can also misread tone, flatten a literary interpretation, or rewrite a student’s prose in a voice that is no longer theirs. The tool’s suggestion should be treated as one response to consider, not as the correct answer. Begin with the learning goal. If students are practicing argument, the chatbot can ask questions about evidence or offer a counterargument, while the student writes and revises the claim. If the goal is grammar, a tool can flag a possible issue, but the learner should identify the rule and make the edit. For literature, invite students to compare model interpretations with the text and explain what passages support or challenge each view. A plausible reading still needs textual evidence. Make classroom expectations specific. State whether AI can be used for brainstorming, grammar feedback, translation, or revision, and whether students must disclose use. Provide an alternative or accessible route when a tool is unavailable. Avoid uploading identifiable student drafts to an unapproved service; check district or institutional data policies first. Teachers should review AI feedback for bias across dialects, multilingual writing, and disability-related language differences so that a tool does not treat a valid voice as an error. Assess the process as well as the final draft. Students can submit planning notes, revision explanations, citations, or a short reflection describing which suggestions they accepted and why. This makes reasoning visible without assuming a detector can reliably identify authorship. AI can open new discussion and practice opportunities, but it should not replace the student’s own reading, interpretation, or writing.

Writing tools may better connect comments to revision goals and offer feedback in more languages. Schools will need guidance for retaining student voice and evaluating process fairly as tools evolve. AI literacy can include discussing authorship, bias, disclosure, and how to verify suggestions rather than focusing only on prohibition. Classrooms may use more collaborative writing assistants and multilingual feedback. Teachers should keep assessment criteria transparent and ensure new tools do not privilege one dialect or writing style. Review outcomes with diverse learners.
A class discusses a novel’s theme in groups, then uses AI to generate a counterargument and checks it against passages from the book.
Students use a grammar tool to flag comma splices and explain in their own words why each revision is needed.
An instructor configures a writing-feedback tool to ask questions about structure rather than rewriting student sentences.
Students examine AI-generated sample stanzas, identify a poetic device, and then write their own example.
