StateScoop reports that California introduced AskCA, a prototype AI assistant intended to help residents find government services. The state's Office of Data and Innovation developed it around needs such as employment, starting a business, family services and disaster recovery.
According to the report, AskCA uses Anthropic's Claude model, with state specialists helping validate responses and the Department of Technology providing cybersecurity support. California is seeking residents to beta test the service.
