Campus Ambassador Program
Bring free AI literacy to your campus
AI Understanding is a free AI education nonprofit. If you are a student, lecturer or librarian who wants more people on your campus to understand AI, we will give you a ready-made kit and our support. No fee, no quota.
This is a volunteer program. AI Understanding does not promise pay, jobs or academic credit; ask your university if your activity can count toward a society or volunteering record.
The idea
What an ambassador does
You do not need to be an AI expert. You only need to be willing to organize a few sessions and point people to free, well-explained material.
Run AI Literacy Week
Five short sessions on your campus, using the plan in the kit below. Each one is built around a free quiz or guide.
Share with your communities
Post in your class, club and residence group chats using ready-made WhatsApp and Telegram messages.
Help people finish
Encourage learners to complete quizzes and claim the free certificate. We will tell you what is working and what to fix.
What you get from us
The kit, answers to your questions by email, and a link to the teacher resources if lecturers want to join in.

AI Literacy Week: five-day event plan
Day 1: Kick-off
A 30-minute talk, "What AI actually is and is not". Use the slides outline below. End by sending everyone to the What is AI quiz.
Day 2: How AI learns
A short demo or unplugged game where a small group "trains" a classmate by giving labeled examples, then tests them with something new.
Day 3: Spot the mistake
Show real chatbot answers and have the room find what is wrong. Practice checking claims against a trusted source.
Day 4: Using AI well
A study-skills session: when AI helps you learn, when it replaces the learning, and how to follow your department's rules.
Day 5: Show what you learned
An open quiz hour. Learners finish quizzes and claim the free certificate. Share results (not names) in your group chat.
Slides outline (10 slides, about 30 minutes)
- Title: AI Literacy Week at [your campus], hosted by [your club or department]
- Why this matters: AI is already in search, study tools and job applications. Everyone should understand it, not only computer science students.
- What AI is (and is not): software that finds patterns in data. It does not think or know things the way people do.
- How it learns: examples in, patterns out. Show one example of training data going wrong.
- What chatbots do: they predict likely next words. That is why they can sound sure and be wrong.
- Spot the mistake: a live exercise with two or three chatbot answers from your own subject area.
- Using AI responsibly in your studies: your department's rules, citing help, never pasting private data.
- Bias, privacy and deepfakes: one real-world example for each, kept short.
- Try it yourself: the free quizzes and guides at aiunderstanding.org. Everyone takes one quiz before they leave.
- Earn the free certificate and bring a friend. Where to find us next week.

Certificates show what a person completed; they are not a university credit or a professional license.
