AI Understanding Daily Briefing

Three verified AI stories that matter today, explained in plain English in about three minutes.

Automated audio briefing read by a synthetic voice; every story links to its verified source. The script restates stories that already passed the newsroom's primary-source, relevance and duplication checks; it adds no facts of its own. Read the written versions on the news page, or get the same three stories by email each morning at 7:00 US Eastern by choosing “Daily briefing” in the newsletter form.

How this briefing is made

  • Stories are selected from the previous 24 hours of verified coverage; each must carry its own source image.
  • A language model turns the published summaries into a spoken script and is instructed to add nothing that is not in them; without model access a fixed template is used.
  • The narration is text-to-speech. No human voice is recorded and no human review of the audio is claimed.
  • If fewer than two qualifying stories exist, no episode is produced that day.
